Stilettos with a Stun Gun
I thought killing a man with your stiletto heel (a la Single White Female) was somewhat extreme, now it seems 100,000 volts of sheer stun gun power at the tips of your toes is a reality. That’s right people, meet the new best friend of any whacked out femme fatale, the Electric Cinderella shoe. They were designed by Simona Brusa and unveiled at this years CTIA Wireless Fashion Show in Las Vegas. According to Simona they were inspired by a woman she interviewed who wanted to “intimidate her intimidators” and wanted to be sexy without fear.
The stun gun is housed within the shoe and fires from the toe. It is activated by the tap of a matching necklace. At this point a warning signal is activated and an electric spark is displayed at the tip of the shoe. This is supposed to be a warning for the would be predator. If the sparking toes are not enough of a deterrent, the stun gun can be quickly fired. The toe of the shoe shoots off and the full might of the stun gun is unleashed. This leave the attacked immobilized and a dame with a destroyed pair of shoes. Unfortunately, there is not retractability feature built in. The shoes are only designed for one off use.
But don’t just think stun guns in your shoes is where personal safety stops. “I've designed many such wearables,” says Simona.
