Reefer Madness
I've seen snippets of Reefer Madness on the internet and it always seems to find its way into an assortment of drug related documentaries and mockumentaries. Recently I watch the entire movie. Now you too can own your own copy on DVD.
Cult Classic Anti Drug Propaganda DVD Reefer Madness. MA 15 Pal (Australia) Format. This item in new condition.
Plot Summary:
Reefer Madness is a classic tale as narrated by a high school teacher, Dr Carroll at a PTA meeting. He tells the story of the demise of kids using marijuana. Dr Carroll's story related how Mae and Jack manage to ensnare a bunch of local high school kids into smoking pot at Mae's apartment. The lives of these once innocent high school children turn down a path of destruction. One teenager is committed to a mental institution for the remainer of his life. At the end of the story, Dr Carroll's message is to keep the kids off the pot.
Personally, I found Reefer Madness to be an interesting and comical look at propaganda and scaremongering. A few tokes on a spliff and suddenly there are all sorts of disasterous turns take place including car accidents, accidental murders and assults.
But the most comical part of of this pseudo-educational exploitational film is that everybody is immediately hooked the minute they smoke their first reefer, even though NOBODY inhales.
