Waving the flag on Australia Day

So event organisers may not want you waving the Aussie flag on this Australia Day's Big Day Out... but I say bollocks. Wave those flags, not to intimidate or deliver a message of one-upmanship, but as a gesture of pride and collective thanks. I understand why event organisers are worried about flag waving fanatics abusing the term 'patriotism' as an excuse for a bit of fisty cuffs. But surely a few wankers can't be allowed to destroy the fun for everyone.

Wave those flags, don the green'n'gold and behave like the easy going, fair dinkum Aussie that we're recognised around the world as.
