Apple to release an $800 laptop
Sure, you can go over to MSY and buy one of their laptops for a great price. In Australia, MSY is the best place to get parts and deals on computer systems.
And, sure, you can get a laptop pre-installed with Vista, or even install a cracked version on it.
Yes, you would do that, because it makes financial sense. Yes, you like the Apple MacBooks because they look good and people seem to have fun using it. You'd buy one, but you're just not interested in spending $2000 on a laptop, especially since you just want to look at pictures of attractive Japanese models in bikinis. and write drunken emails.
What if I told you that you could buy a MacBook for less than $1000? Would you be interested?
Well, you could probably buy a secondhand MacBook Pro, but that'd still be over $1500.
Instead, there's a rumour that Apple is going to release a new laptop for around $800!
It's nicknamed the Apple 'Brick', because of rumours that Apple will go to all-metal casings and from this little shady photo, some enthusiasts inferred some specs about the laptop:
It's exciting because it means that Apple is going to step into the affordability market - if the 'Brick' can still run OS/X and offer all the benefits of using an Apple product, this'll be a market killer.

"CAPS LOCK KEY = 1.25"
MBA FROM CAPSLOCK TO RETURN = 10.75"
IMPOSED CAPSLOCK KEYS FROM CAPSLOCK TO EDGE OF CASING X BOTH SIDES = 5"
The bottom casing is 10.75" 5.00" = 15.75"
The MBA screen-enclosure (measured diagonally) to bottom-case ratio is 15" to 13"
That ratio applied to 15.75" would suggest 18.17" accomodate for the fact that screens NEED some border and we have a 2-inch reduction.
The NEW Macbook 'Brick' will have the rumored 16" screen. TRUE 16:9 resolution!"
