Their useful for group projects as you can bring your work to a meeting and collectively work around tthe same screen. The extent of your computing needs will vary depending on the course that you are studying. Any technical related field will need a higher end computer.

Every girl needs a hair straightener and if you want to keep your strands in top condition, a hair straightener is not the beauty accessory to be going cheap on. Many of the cheaper hair straighteners with metal irons will burn you hair, weaken it and lead to split ends. The best straighteners have ceramic irons. Luxury Super Limo – great photos

I love Americans and their fetish for size. They’ll take any concept or product and supersize it to something beyond anyone’s wildest imaginations. I’ve just spied this Ford limo shuttle bus and thought I’d post it up. There’s a super stretch Hummer that I often see scooting about my local area. I thought that was pretty wild, but it pales to insignificant compared to this beauty.

Portable Folding Boat

I saw this design for a foldable boat on the ABC's New Inventors program awhile back and thought it deserved a mention.

Designed by boat builder Gavin Ager in 1999, the “Flatout Boat” is believed to be the first “rigid” folding boat available in the world market. The boat uses new technology incorporating a unique patented geometry which enables the front to bend upward to form the shape of a conventional bow as it is being opened from a flat position.

Home Brewing Beginner

Ok, so I’m really getting into this home brew thing so I figure I’ll continue the rant. Plus it has quickly become this all consuming passion. I can't draw myself away from this repeat of a high school biology experiment I remember eons ago.

The fermentation process is well under way and there are a few bubbles forming in the air lock. Not too long and I’ll be enjoying the liquid gold.

Home Brew Essentials

I've recently purchased a home brewing kit and would have to rate brewing liquid gold as one of the best past times known to mankind. Its the arts and crafts of the adult world. I've got my kit all set up - which in a teeny studio apartment already jammed with copious quantitites of crap has my abode looking like some sort of redneck meth lab residential conversion.

I'm learning the lengths beer lovers will go to for a good home brew. Personal hygiene will not stand in my way of a good beer. For lack of a better solution most of my beer processing is happening in a bathroom the size of which even Nicole Ritchie would have issues pivoting about in without smacking her arse on a vanity shower door or towel rack. I call getting into to the bathroom the "bathroom hustle" as it requires a bit of fancy footwork and hip swinging to get in, round the door and close it. Nevertheless, I've got two kegs in my poor excuse for a shower and the first batch is in production.

The Skimbat is a personal wing sail you can pair with a bunch of extreme activities. You can pair the Skimbat with skating sports – skateboards, rollerblades. During the winter months, the Skimbat makes for an new edge for snowboarders and skiers. Once you learn how to get it up above your head, the skimbat is easy to learn. I saw some people on the beach combining the skimbat with their skim boards.

While still getting comfortable with sailing along, the skimbat can be easily put down into "neutral" if you get nervous about speed. The videos in yesterday’s post featured PoweriZers. PoweriZers are a new product being manufactured in China. They’re jumping stilts which give the user the ability to jump up to 6 feet in the air, and take running strides of up to 9 feet. There are models for adults and kids. The child's pair only allows the user to jump up to 3 1/2 feet in the air and the running strides are reduced as well.

Kangoo Jump Boots

Awesome, who said white chicks can't jump. These Kagaroo Jump Boots loook like some summer fun. I don't know about the claim that 15 minutes of kangaoo jumping is the equivalent of 1 hour of strenuous jogging. They are supposed to be easier on the joints and muscles than jogging on a hard surface which is believable.

External Hard Drives

I’ve recently faced a horrid dilemma. My laptop’s storage space has become decidedly inadequate. After a few years of collecting junk on my travels through cyber space, it has become apparent that my initial 100GB of storage is quickly reaching capacity. It is time for a spring clean, sure I suppose there’s a lot of music and video files I don’t really need, but with the price of external hard drives dropping, why should I scrap my nostalgic collection of oddities and rarities. I’ve gone on a hunt for external hard drives.

Internal and external storage solutions

Today’s quick lesson regarding hard drive lingo and shopping is related to some performance aspects which you should take into consideration when purchasing and determining the value of different storage solutions on the market place. The three important feature measurements of a storage system are data rate, seek time and capacity.

Data rate is the number of bytes per second that the drive can transfer to the CPU. This is important if you are intending on using the data stored on the external drive regularly as you don’t want to be waiting around for a long time for data to transfer from your hard drive to CPU.
